Who Likes Raging Slab? Come on hands up. Well i've finally managed to replace a vinyle favorite of mine with a digital copy. Anybody want a copy ? Go to youtube and have a look. I'd start with Bent For Silver. Let me know what you think.
The South will rise again!

Me me me me! I'll have some of your Slab stuff please. In an even closer fit than Mr Coffee's, it can fit between my Rage Against The Machine and Raging Speedhorn :-)

Yeah, that was good.
It would sit next to Rammstein on my shelf. Their videos are very screen-inducing too, even the ones that only feature the band. Oh no... Help!

Although whoever is responsible for the snare sound should get a slap, ideally with the wet piece of cardboard I assume they used as a snare skin.

True! By the way, the harmonies on 22lbs are fucking terrible! And we murdered the middle but of Welcome to Paradise

Loved the Spanish verison of 'Perhaps..." Muddy, can we have more of that stuff please? That's generous of you. thanks. Unfortunately learning a song in a foreign language takes about 5 times as much effort as one in your own language, but If I can find anything else to do then who knows? it's not bad for a song written in the 1950s though by a cuban .. I actually did the original version, the English version has a slightly different meaning and came later. Keeping it real ! as they say in the moorfoot tavern, when they are doing an impression of Ali G

That's interesting. That's one of my favourite songs (I have a lot of favourite songs). Can I have a translation of the Cuban version please?

Yes no problem, but remember there is no definite answer many words have several meanings under translation.... V1 Always I ask you, of when, how and where you always answer my question "perhaps perhaps perhaps" V2 and like that we pass the days, and I exasperated, and you , you answering "perhaps perhaps perhaps" Chorus You're losing time thinking, thinking How much more do you want Until when? Until when? V2 again and like that we pass the days, and I exasperated, and you , you answering "perhaps perhaps perhaps" etc......

I don't sing the '22lbs of chocolate' line, so you and Mucous sort it out! I almost missed this post, I'm glad I spotted it. Perhaps you should sing/shout/whatever in the chours of 22lbs Chocolate as well as/instead of Bish. I'm still astounded that Matt likes that one more than Master Revelator with its dark lyrics and riff-tastic stomping rhythms. I like that he compares 22lbs to some Kaiser Chiefs' songs though; the riff and verse are so catchy it's hard to write a chorus that has the required inpact...

Master Revelator is a metal-tastic slab of triumphant noise that probably should be accompanied by pyrotechnics and histrionics that require immediate surgery.
But dissecting the songs doesn't change the fact that the riff from 22lbs sits resolutely on my internal jukebox for days after hearing it. But yeah, you won't match it with the chorus.

Sounds like a challenge to me. The comments are mucho appreciated esp from the Mattster. The Sweeneys on the telly ,come dancing has restarted and all is well with the world. By the way who your mrs fancy to win it this year? Things are improving ont song front. Nothing is finished, they can always be improved or something else written which is better or rocks harder. Come on. Brucie bonuses all round. Any one seen the machinest?

Very good film.
As for the dancing, Allison wants Mark and Karen to win cos she likes Karen and quite fancies Mark. She reckons Ray or Spo0ny might win, maybe Emma. Whoever they are.
