This Thread is for NON MEMBERS of the band to suggest entertaining covers for the band to try and for members of the band to comment on these suggestions.
1) I would like to suggest Dance the Night away by the mavericks.
It is a simple song with only 2 chords and a simple bass part which could be FCdogUKd up to full power and energy.. Enabling both an amusing cover and an extremely easy song to learn.

2) 99 Red Ballons, especially if you sing the chorus in German, which is quite easy for a foreign language song and would make it sound like a Rammstein song. - VERY METAL

I definitely think you should have a listen to MANHUNT by Wolfsbane. This will be especially good for the Toe..

While suggesting Wolfsbane, what about "Temple of Rock"?
Blaze Bayley managed to pronounce the word "rock" while introducing this song with about thirteen Rs, several Hs before the vowel, and the K with such plosive power that it knocked the first three rows of the audience unconscious. His version of the word ended up being several syllables long and got him a job in Iron Maiden.
Matt.

I dont pretend to know a lot about music but I know what I like. Duran Duran's "The reflex" and "Rio" have huge scope for development and I'm sure the similarities between the dog and the whole Taylor/ Le-bon look wouldnt be lost on anyone who had viewed the pictures on this website. You could have a small yacht as a stage prop....People like that sort of thing.

Are you referring to IZAl the famous sheffield medical greaseproof bog paper? I don't know which community finds the stuff most useful but chasing clinkers and turd around in a piece of greaseproof poo roll sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. When I was a kid I was at my friend's granny's house and I had a crap in the privvy down the garden and they only had Izal. after using half a box I had to finish off with a cleaning rag which was on a shelf over the door, it was bloody useless stuff.

That would be impossible Lolly, it would involve our singer wearing some ludicrous outfit and camping it up big style while caked in make-up....
Oh.

[glow=red,2,300] That would be impossible Lolly, it would involve our singer wearing some ludicrous outfit and camping it up big style while caked in make-up.... as we blow kisses at each other and wear effeminate hats!
[/glow] Pretty much like last friday when I gatecrashed your rehearsal then ! Chris 2Hat was quite shocked and needed a sit down afterwards. I needed to make him a cup of tea but there was no milk left.
