I wish all recording artists was a considerate as Raging Slab when it comes to names. They sit with the likes of RATM, Raging Speedhorn and Rise To Addiction without disturbing your iTunes library.
I used to be quite happy with most of mine until I got an Amy Winehouse album yesterday. It sits between AC/DC's 'Rocker' and Arctic Monkeys's 'The View From the Afternoon' and good as the album is, it's just wrong.
Other than that I got books, a dvd, stuff you can eat and a day at home with the Mrs. on Christmas Day, which has never happened in 12 years of being married, so that was nice.

I enjoyed a day at home with the Mrs. for the first time ever too. Well, apart from nipping to the pub at lunchtime to top up Christmas Eve's intake.
Despite being a very naughty boy this year, I got an iPod (black of course), the new Rammstein DVD, booze, saturated fats and a book about religious hatred. All is well. \m/

After a christmas eve drink with Ade and a Curry at the New india garden, we went back to the while lion and tried to drink more lager but we were both too full. So we parted and I walked up to Yanina's where I sat in front of the TV with a few cans of Lager as I waited for her to come home from her night shift.
I'm a lucky boy, On christmas day, I got a large diaphragm condenser microphone, so I can record vocals with increased clarity, and a new controller keyboard for my organ so I have less stuff to cart about when I go for a practice.
Yanina's insane mother sent me some socks and a strange bar of soap which I assume you can only get from the chemist if you have a skin condition. "Doctor's Soap" there's more - Special soap superfatted antibacterial effect with lanolin, low on perfume ..
It seems that she has sent some of this to everyone. So she is not trying to tell me something or anything like that.

I got a nice Christmas day at home with the Mrs and kids, which was exceedingly pleasant. I got the first MAIIIIIIIIDEEENNNNN!!!! album cos I never had it on CD before, a 4gb Creative Zen mp3 player for hours of solid ear to ear metal, Blades books and DVDs (cos I'm a sad fucker), the latest Rebus novel, a book on Toilets from around the world (fantastic!), and the Why Don't Penguins' Feet Freeze? book. Oh, and a Finger Drumkit so I can practice at home and maybe improve my appalling technique...

As a late present I got a Jamie Oliver Flavour Shaker. fuckin' brilliant. And to think Channel 4 nominated Nikki Sixx as rock's greatest living hellraiser.
